OK, OK I know it has been a while since I updated. What can I say.
School and a new baby. But here is the latest from Sir James:

YAY! Bath time! The first three pictures are from James' first bath.
The last three came from a later bath but mom put him an a cute ducky
towel with a ducks head. He really seems a little confused still by
bath time. He doesn't cry or smile, he just kind of sits there.

Basically James does one of three things: Eats, Poops, Sleeps. OK so he
actually is getting to be a bit more playful. He will let me hold him
for a much longer time now. In fact, Elizabeth went back to work this
week and James has been staying with me. He has done well. He fusses
sometimes but after a while he realises that if he wants to eat he has
to deal with me. The first picture is of James taking his first bottle.
That was a bout 2 weeks ago and he didn't bat an eye about it. As you
can see from the second photo, he has gotten a terminal case of the
chubs. He now weighs about 12 pounds and we can tell! The last picture
shows that he is smiling now. I'm not sure if he recognises us yet but
I think that is coming soon. (On a technical side note, I love
photoshop. James would have deamon eyes if I didn't help the pictures
out a bit).

Just 3 weeks after James was born we traveled to Ohio for Thanksgiving
and James' baptism. As with most things, James is a champ! He didn't
cry at any time throughout the process. He nursed on the ascents but
was usually asleap on the decents. We put him in a sling to get him
through the travelling. We saw other parents trying to negotiate the
security checkpoints with SUV strollers and bags galore. What a mess!
All we had was the sling and Elizabeth's purse/diaper bag. The TSA
emmployee in Jacksonville even asked Elizabeth to put the sling on the
xray machine not realizing that there was a baby in it! After we told
him what it was he said: "There's a baby in there?" Hrmmmm.... I wonder
if I broke the rules about using "portable electronic devices" during
the flight when I took those pictures?
* computer screen gets all wierd*
*Dad tries to fix it*
*Dad realizes the video card is fried*
Fast Forward 4 weeks...
And now we return to our regularly scheduled broadcast.

Thanksgiving was at my parent's place in Fremont. I think there were
like 30 people there for dinner but it wasn't James' first big party.
We also did James' Baptism on that Saturday. Mark Molyet and Mary Senf
(Elizabeth's sister and Mark's brother-in-law) were the godparents and
Grandpa Norbert officiated. In the second picture James is held by his
Great Grandfather Bob Vannice. James was wearing a family gown from the
Billings' and a quilte coat from the Wethingtons. Jim, Karen and Mary
all made the trip from Nebraska.

Ahh yes Babys do get around!

Elizabeth likes to take pictures during naptime.

WOOOHOOO! Naked baby pictures! OK the last one he has a onesie on but
there is the sheepskin rug.

Boy, babies can be such fun! The first picture shows a game I always
loved as a kid. 2) "Take me to your leader". 4) Mom looks a little
worried. Dad doesn't because he knows James spent months in this
position! 6) this is what happens when you leave your baby with his
Grandmother and Aunt and Uncle to go on a date night! 7) Everybody's
drinkin'! 8) I AM NOT A POAR BEAR! and this is FLORIDA!!!

This is what happens when Mommy plays Airplane just after James eats
dinner! We LOAO! I had warned her but nooooo, she wouldn't listen!

OK so here are some nicer pictures.

We went to Nebraska for Christmas. James did very well on the flights
again. We spent Christmas in Omaha at Mary and Jeff's house and
bookended it with stays in Ogallala. We dodged both blizzards going and
returning. James felt snow for the first time. James also met his other
Great Grandpa John. We had a great time and had a lot of fun!

On MLK day we decided to go to the beach. We took a chance on St. Marks
since I had not been there yet. There was a tiny little beach and so
james felt sand and sea for the first time. We also saw Aligators in
the wild, they have them in Florida don't you know! We kept james away
as he would have only been a snack for them and then they would have
wanted more!
