Elizabeth was doing well on Monday the 30th. We were scheduled to
induce at 6am. After Elizabeth got settled in and got her IV, she was
feeling well enough to do a little work! Well, OK she was just imputing
her vacation time into th HR website but obviously she was doing well.
Actually too well. James didn't want to come out on that day so after
10hrs of Pitosin, the nurses called it quits for that day.

So the next day, Halloween, we tried again. Notice Elizabeth is still
in a fairly good mood, but has settled in a bit.

And then we had a little baby James. OK so there was some stuff in
between, but this is a public website. Elizabeth did get an epidural
and waseven able to nap through a good portion of the labor. At 5pm she
called in the midwife and a few minutes later we had James. Way to go
Elizabeth! These pictures were taken when James was 3 or 4 hours old.
Since the hospital had wifi, the Grandparents got to see pictures right
away.

After a relitivley good nights sleep, James is fairly good to us at
night though Mom does have more duties than Dad, we got some time to
take pictures with Mom and James.

Erika Hagan stopped by in the morning to bring Elizabeth some things
that she would need. Erika and Andrew were in the same situation a year
prior. The Hagans have really been a great help and good friends.
Thanks guys! Erika took this, our first family portrait.

James needed some IV antibiotics at the hospital but they were mostly a
precaution and there was nothing serious the matter. We left the
hospital at 6:30 pm on Thursday the 2nd and were home by 7. I stayed
home from school on Friday, and helped everyone get settled. On
Saturday Grandma Karen came down to help out around the house.

James loves his Mom. The rest of us are tolerated for short periods of
time. Grandma Karen did finally get James in a better mood in the last
picture! The first picture is the first time Karen held James on
Saturday night.

Dad did get some time with James too. The first is in the hospital.
James will tolerate me for about 20-30 minutes before he gets hungry. I
do most of the Diaper duties, no big deal with 4 younger sisters whom I
changed. As the days have gone by, he has let me hold him for longer
and longer times.

GO BROWNS!!!!!!!

James got a chance to chatch some rays this week. He also got a chance
to swing in the swing. I wonder what ever happened to those wind-up
swings that you coulf get going really, really fast?

OK one last qute picture before you go.
